Looking back it is clear to me that my yoga/life journey has been divinely guided. Unknown to me at the time, the synchronicities started over thirty years ago. I was educated and trained as a Special Education and Music teacher; I immediately fell in love with teaching. A while later, a friend and I were taking a yoga class, which we loved. Two years into the class, our instructor moved away from our area. At the time, there were not many classes so we decided to become certified Kripalu instructors and start teaching our own classes. Thus began my individual yoga journey, which many years later led me to become a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner. Feldenkrais deeply enhanced my yoga practice and I began to observe profound changes in my personal body image and how deeply I was able to practice my daily postures. The personal feelings and growth were duplicated in the friends/clients I continue to serve through The Feldenkrais Somatic Education. The philosophy of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, “to make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant,” reflected in the changes that occurred for both my clients and me. These are the very changes I have incorporated in my life and live by this philosophy daily. In June of 2006, a very good friend called out of the blue and asked if I would be interested in becoming certified to teach the Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga. During the Certification process there were several enlightening moments for me and I came to realize the connection between all of the practices I have studied. I am very grateful for the experience and friendship created through my association with the Chopra Center and I look forward to having my life continue to be guided by the divine synchronicities I believe occur for us all daily.
