Perfect Health/Ayurveda

The Perfect Health course offers a five-step exploration of mind-body medicine and Ayurveda. The course is designed for the general public who have had little or no previous understanding of these concepts. Each of the five lessons includes instruction in the practical tools and techniques of mind-body medicine that participants can immediately begin using in their daily lives.

Session One Your Chopra Center–certified Perfect Health instructor will introduce you to the foundational principles of Ayurveda, meditation, and yoga as well as the three primary mind-body doshas or personalities: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Through an in-depth questionnaire and analysis, you’ll discover your own dosha type.

Session Two. In this session on “Food as Medicine,” you will learn how to select the most nourishing foods for your mind-body type. Your instructor will also guide you in Ayurvedic nutritional practices that will help you maintain vibrant health, appropriate weight, and optimized digestion.

Session Three. This session focuses on the tools and practices of rejuvenation and renewal. You’ll learn how to identify and eliminate toxins that accumulate in the mind and body. In addition, you will be guided in gentle rejuvenating practices, holistic techniques to relieve stress and anxiety, a personal daily routine for balance and health, and the secrets of restful sleep.

Session Four. Today you will learn why emotional freedom is the key to our physical, mental, and emotional health. Your instructor will teach you the practice of conscious communication, which can transform your relationships and help you experience more intimacy and joy in your life.

Session Five. The final session delves into the healing power of the five senses: sound, touch, sight, taste, and smell. You’ll learn how to strengthen the body’s inner pharmacy by using specific tools that use each of the senses to heal, nourish, and balance your mind-body.

What's the difference between "Featured Certified", "Certified" and "Ambassadors":

All the Chopra Center Certified Teachers (Featured or not) have gone through the Chopra Center's extensive teacher's certification program, as well as having attended Journey into Healing and Seduction of Spirit.
In addition to the certification, Featured Certified Teachers have joined the Chopra Center's Global Premium Teachers Network. This interative premium network helps active and more experienced teachers connect more easily with those looking to learn.
Ambassadors are those who went through the certification process in the past, and have not been recertified in the last two years. In most cases, they no longer teach but are excellent resources for sharing the timeless wisdom of yoga, meditation and ayurveda.

What is involved in Primordial Sound Meditation Training?

Primordial Sound Meditation is a very specific time-tested meditation technique dating back thousands of years to the ancient Vedic traditions of India.
As a certified instructor, our teachers have the knowledge and skills to teach Primordial Sound Meditation, the most powerful tool we have for direct contact with Spirit and rediscovering our unique essential nature.
Drs. Chopra and Simon have revived this ancient process and made it available in a format that can be easily learned by everyone.

What is involved in Perfect Health Teacher Training?

The Perfect Health course offers a five-step exploration of mind body medicine and Ayurveda. The course is designed for the general public who have had little or no previous understanding of these concepts. Each of the five lessons includes instruction in practical approaches of mind body medicine that participants can begin using in their daily lives.
Certified teachers will be able to facilitate this beautifully designed five lesson process that sequentially leads people through the theory and practical application of mind body medicine and Ayurveda. As a certified instructor your relationship to the Chopra Center will be that of an independent contractor. You will be able to set up, market and teach courses in a manner and frequency that suits your schedule (subject to a few basic guidelines). While several instructors have been successful in teaching on a regular basis, we do not view this as training for a new vocation. We will provide ongoing support including marketing, suggestions, some advertising and access to our international referral service.

What is involved in Yoga Teacher Training?

Chopra Center is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School.
